Using BlinkPro with 2 ws2812b strips and hyperion

Howdy All

Having got my blinkstick pro and waiting on 5m led mtr 190led, I’m guessing ill be using about 120ish for my TV so i’ll need to be using to channels to drive the strip from pi and hyperion. Any advice on how to put the strips maybe something like 2 L shapes or something and will hyperion be cool with that config.

I hope to use my android kodi setup to use the pi on the same network just for ambient light as this method looks pretty straight forward amd less hassle with cables. Just waiting on power supply and strip then hope to get cracking the weekend.

Cheers

Two L shapes seems to be like an ideal solution. BTW do you have a 5V power supply to drive those LEDs?

Yep 5v 10a so should have plenty of juice but im still puzzled how hyperion would see these. As im using 2 channels to control leds how would these be referenced within the app.

Don’t think Hyperion supports BlinkStick. Will have a look. Boblight does support BlinkStick over here:

I was hoping to use hyperion as i was streaming the client from android to hyperion on the pi as from what ive read hyperion seems to be the one all the kids are using these days.

Howdy arvydas, Thanks for the replies. I think i have everything sorted just waiting for my leds. Hyperions does seem to be an easier sollution than boblight so if you have any joy with testing let me know.

When i do connect my 2 strips to the blinkstick pro will boblight pick these up automatically using your config with me led amendments. Ill be using w2818b. Cheers

Boblight needs to be configured. I think that I have implemented support only for one LED strip. Will look into this.

cheers i know its chrimbo but im expecting strips to arrive today…the final piece of the puzzle!

Im also having issues connecting to boblight from android box running client with updated libraries installed. Any help or pointers would be very much aprecieated and Merry Christmas.
