Unknown Device Error

I have two BlinkStick Pros, the first one I assembled works fine

When I assembled the second one, I got a similar error as @brynmoorhouse where it reads it as an “Unknown USB Device” and gives the error “Device Descriptor Request Failed”, it also fails to show up in the BlinkStick Windows program

I have tried using it on different USB ports/headers and get the same result

@arvydas I have just recently placed an order for 5 more BlinkStick Pros (order#1901) on October 4th and haven’t received a shipping confirmation yet

I am currently in the process of moving, and during checkout, PayPal used my old address this time instead of my new one (I used my new address on my last order), and I will no longer be able to receive packages at the old address after the 17th, is it possible to change my address?

Also, is it possible to get a tracking number for this order? Thanks

Regarding the unkown device error, did you check that all components have been soldered correctly? Would you be able to attach pictures of bot sides of BlinkStick?

Can you please send an email to info@blinkstick.com with your updated address? You order hasn’t been dispatched as we were having stock issues. It will be dispatched tomorrow with tracking and I will send you tracking information. Sorry about that.

I think everything was soldered properly in regards to polarity and orientation, I decided to solder the IC directly to the PCB on the second one and may have possibly applied too much heat than the IC could handle, I’ll post pictures as soon as I can get to it

I just sent the email with my old and updated address

Thanks again

Thanks, I received your email. You order is going to be posted today and I’ll throw in an ATTiny85 with BlinkStick Pro firmware to replace the overheated chip. Hopefully this will sort out the issue for you.
