[SOLVED] - VM (win10) | can't detect BS

Hello,
I’ve a nano & square blinkstick and it work well on my host.

When I try to use them on :

  • VMware (device is detected and at first use device is down)
  • Virtualbox machine device is not detected

any tip to work in Vm env ? (note : I try on USB port 1.0, 2.0 & 3)

Regards.

What is your host OS? I don’t have any problems with virtualbox on Win7 host and various different OS. Just need to install latest version of VirtualBox additions. Btw it does not work for me on USB3, but I think it’s a VM issue. Host USB3 works fine.

(HOST & Guest ) - Windows 10 Enterprise 1511 with latest addition / vmtools

are you in 64 bits (host or guest) ?

on vmware I’ve this error

Could this be the “Hub” problem again? We have a few issues with Win10 when the device is connected directly to the USB port. Could you please try it with a USB hub?

My host is 64 bits…

I’ve no usb hub… ;-( I try to get one to test with it

Found !! (only for Vmware, not work in virtualbox…)
I use USBDeview to disable Blinkstick on Host.
I configure VMware USB port like this :

By default VMware select USB3. (and BS is not compatible with USB3 cf:MS USB device View report)

I connect USB device to vmware in VM > Removable device, …

Thanks for posting a solution!
