Power supply for DIODER via USB?

Hello,

is it possible to replace the external power supply of IKEA’s Dioder by an internal solution? My TV provides 1A on its USB connector. If the power consumption doesn’t exceed 5W, it should be possible…

Thanks a lot,

Elmar

Hey Elmar,
it should be possible to add an own 12V power supply for the DIODER.
Maybe you will find some informations here:

Hope it helps

@elmar_schmidt that’s not possible. USB provides 5V and DIODER needs 12V to supply power for the LEDs.

Hmm… sorry :frowning: . Regarding to the article I thought it should be possible somehow.

@p0ke no need to apologize, thanks for your help!
