"No backend available" on MacOS

#1

Hi there,

when I try to run blinkstick on my Mac (El Capitan, 10.11.6) , I get the following error message:

 Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/Users/xxx/anaconda/bin/blinkstick", line 324, in <module>
    sys.exit(main())
  File "/Users/xxx/anaconda/bin/blinkstick", line 213, in main
    sticks = blinkstick.find_all()

    return usb.core.find(find_all=find_all, idVendor=VENDOR_ID, idProduct=PRODUCT_ID)
  File "/Users/xxx/anaconda/lib/python2.7/site-packages/usb/core.py", line 864, in find
    raise ValueError('No backend available')
ValueError: No backend available

I’tried
sudo ln -s ‘brew --prefix’/lib/libusb-* /usr/local/lib/
as suggested, but that didn’t help.

Any idea on how to get the blinkstick to work??

Do you have libusb installed?

I’m facing the same issue :frowning: I did installed libusb thru brew.
