Hello,
I’d like to connect Smart Pixels to a BlinkStick Pro,
or regular LEDs to a BlinkStick Pro LED adapter,
Would it work well with 20 meters of cable though ?
Thank you,
Best regards.

It also depends on the amount of LEDs you will drive.
On a 20 meter cable you will have a voltage drop issue, I already have it on 5 meter…
The next thing is how fast the signal could being sent to the last smart pixel. On such a long cable you will have a delayed signal arrival.
In my opinion 20 meter is way too long but I have no experiences with such a distance.
Well if I drive only one smart pixel would it be alright ? At 10 meters ?
Thank you for your quick answer.
I think it should be possible, but you would need to use a shielded cable. The LED communication uses about 800 Kbps so at these lengths interference may occur if you don’t use a shielded cable.
Thanks for your insight !
Just checked the specifications for the Smart Pixel LEDs and surprisingly they should work over 20m distance without any additional components. I would still probably suggest a shielded cable just in case.
