How to control nano through USB on iOS

Hi there.

I have a blinkstick nano and while it’s easy to control remotely I’m thinking of connecting an unused iPod touch to it through a USB adapter.

I’m trying to see if it’s possible to control it directly from iOS but I can’t find any info. I wonder if it’s possible to treat it as a standard USB device (for example, as a keyboard) but it doesn’t seem to be the case.

How would be the best way to control the Nano from iOS physically (no network required) through USB and or the headphone jack? (power wouldn’t be an issue, but I need a physical connection because I can’t rely on any wireless or network one).

I don’t think that’s possible. At least not without writing your own app. This page seems to suggest that at the very least iOS has the potential to talk with whatever USB device you might have.
