Easy way to test function of bottom blinkstick nano LED

I just received my shiny new Blinkstick and am ready to start scripting some stuff on my raspberry pi.
I noticed that the --info command returns an LED status of unsupported. I installed the Windows client on my workstation to test functions and make sure that I wasn’t just doing something funky; However, I have not been able to get the bottom LED to light up one bit. Even when plugging my blinkstick into my machine, the top LED flashes briefly, but there appears to be no life (or light) emitting from the bottom LED. Please tell me I’m just doing something wrong.

I actually found the version 2.0 client in another forum post, and was able to test the bottom LED. It does indeed work!
