Can the LED Adapter handle 6A?

It’s just the jack that’s only rated at 4A, right? The rest should handle 6A, no?

Welcome to the forums!
What do you mean with “the rest”? The adapter can handle 4A and not more than that.

The announcing post read:

“The LED adapter boards are rated 50A on 40V”
“Standard 2.1 mm power socket rated for 4A”

So I thought maybe I can get away with directly soldering on my cable after removing the jack.

cheers,

leon

You could leave the jack and solder wires directly on the jack pins to supply power for LEDs. MOSFETs can handle a lot of amps and the board will safely support 6A.
