Can I control Multiple blinkstick pros on one computer

Hi, I am just starting to check out the blinksticks, they look super promising. I am trying to see if it is possible/trivial to connect and control multiple blinkstick and their associated pixels with one computer. I am thinking each would plug into separate USB ports. I am hoping to get somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 LEDs and be able to control each one of them separately.

I did see that each BS Pro supports 192 pixels (with the additional power supply), so I would like to do that 2 more times if possible.

Any shortcomings or power issues to this??

Thanks!

Yes you can control as many BlinkSticks connected to one computer as you need. You are not only limited to BS Pro.

You will need a decent power supply and wiring to power up this many LEDs. There is quite a bit of info in the tutorials section, but if you have any specific questions then just post them here and I will be happy to help. Wiring requirements depend on the application.

There is a new product coming out very soon which will support up to 512 LEDs from a single contoller. We are very very close to a release.

That sounds great , might be just what I need. Can it control 512 smart pixels?

Yes, it’s designed only for smart pixels and each of those 512 LEDs can be controlled individually. There will be power limitations to keep in mind and I should have more info when the product is released.
