[SOLVED] Win 8.1 detects BS Pro as BS Flex

Hi there,
I have to say, that I’m very new to the whole topic.
I purchased my first BS Pro (presoldered) a few days ago. Downloaded the software, plugged it to my PC. It installed some drivers as it should. BlinkStick Client doesn’t detect any device.
When I go to Windows “Devices and Printers” There is a BlinkStick Flex shown which has driver errors. The windows problem treatment suggests to reinstall the drivers, but if it tries to reinstall them there are no drivers found and the problem still exists.
I tried different USB Ports (Front, Back, 2.0, 3.0) and a different PC. Same Problems.

What am I doing wrong?

Sorry for writing no perfect english, Im from germany.

Thank you very much for your help,
Florian

Hi Florian,

There is an issue with a very small batch of BlinkStick Pro devices. Yours seems to be affected. I’ll send you a replacement chip which will solve this issue. Very sorry about the inconvenience!

Arvy

Hi Arvy,
Thanks for your super fast response!
I’m happy to hear that it’s not my fault or my PC’s. It would be great if you could do that for me. Can’t wait to start having fun with this little board.

Florian

Hey Arvy,
Have you already shipped my replacement chip?
I didn’t get anything until now.
I can’t wait to start using my Blinkstick!

Thanks a lot,
Florian

Hey Florian,

did you send your address by PM to Arvy? Otherwise he can´t assign your forum user to your post address…

Hey p0ke,
Thanks for that info!
I thought he should know my address from sending my

Blinkstick.
I send him a message now.

Florian

Thanks a lot for your replacement!
